Station 81

Located at 510 E Government Road in Mattawa across from City Hall. It was built in 1977. The administrative office is at this location. Apparatus housed here include 2 ambulances, 1 structure engine, 1 heavy rescue engine, 2 brush trucks, 1 quick response vehicle, 1 tender, and 1 command vehicle.

Station 82

Located at 7 Desert Aire Drive SW in Desert Aire. It was built in 1980. The station is unmanned. Apparatus housed here include 1 ambulance, 1 structure engine, 1 quick response vehicle, 1 brush truck, and 1 tender.

Station 83

Located at 24062 Road J SW about 9 miles east of Mattawa. It was built in 1990. The station is unmanned. Apparatus housed here include 1 ambulance, 1 structure engine, 1 brush truck, and 1 tender.

In 2015, the Commissioners and staff created a strategic plan, which identified the need for a new station with living quarter, larger apparatus bays, more training room space, and a future training facility.  Site selection was challenging and took about two years.

Things moved quickly once design was completed.  Once the General Contractor was selected, groundwork proceeded in a timely manner.  The project was held up for about two months for permitting, but started back up once the Building Permit was in hand.
