County-wide Burn Ban

Daily Burn Decision

The Department of Ecology (DOE) makes a daily decision regarding agricultural and other burning outside of urban growth areas based on current weather conditions and weather models.  To learn the daily burn decision, you may call DOE at (800) 406-5322, option 2, then option 5 (District 8 is in Zone 43) or the District office after 9:00 AM.  If burning is allowed, please notify the District office of your planned burn.

County-wide Burn Ban

The County-wide burn ban is in effect from June 1 through September 30 each year.  Some agricultural burning will be allowed during the ban on DOE designated burn days and the Fire Chief has the ultimate say in whether agricultural burning will be allowed.
