2018 Water Works - Last day of school

        9-11 Tribute

        Never Forget

On the anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001... we pause and remember the 343 firefighters who went into the Twin Towers that day when everyone else was trying to get out.  They went in, but didn't come out.  In the fire service, this event epitomizes our worst nightmare.

Ladder 81 is positioned outside of Station 81 with the US flag proudly displayed to commemorate the event and remind passersby of the sacrifices our first responders are willing to make when tragedy strikes.  We pledged to never forget the fallen NYFD firefighters.  We won't.  We pledged to be there for our community to preserve life, property, and the environment.  We will.

        Never forget.
